Funky Friday Episode 55: Club Pisces Liquid Funk will air February 20, bringing a submerged, bass-forward listening session to KDOG at 9AM PT and KCSM HD2 at 9PM PT. This episode will move like tide instead of thunder, exploring jazz-funk foundations, neo-soul depth, and modern liquid groove built for intentional listening.

This week on Funky Friday, we step into the Winter Semester of the School of Funk — a frosty, razor-clean hour where the grooves get colder, the basslines get meaner, and the funk cuts like ice. From James Brown’s “Cold Sweat” to Curtis Mayfield’s chilling “Hard Times,” Episode 44 serves up cold-blooded classics, icy grooves, and sub-zero swagger straight from Signal Fire Studio. Bundle up… the funk just dropped below freezing.
